Not Even a Felony

God used Jamie and a Box of Love to draw George to Himself! Each November, in preparation for the Boxes of Love® outreach, many of the churches that share a partnership with Cru® hold evangelism trainings to equip their volunteer teams for gospel conversations during the outreach. Such was true of one church in the heart of Chicago. After the training, everyone dispersed in pairs to share the gospel.

One volunteer named Jamie met George, and they began talking. George shared that he had just been released from jail after serving time for a felony conviction. This gave Jamie the opportunity to share her own story about how she had also been in jail for a felony, but that Christ had given her hope and new life. She was excited and amazed that she was able to share her testimony and that God could use her past to encourage someone else.

Jamie then led George through the gospel, and he put his faith in Jesus Christ right then and there!

Praise God that nothing, not even a felony conviction, can separate us from the love of Christ, and that He was able to use Jamie and a Box of Love to draw George to Himself!
