Impact '12 Live Broadcast on September 26

How you can get involved in this year's conference.

Melody L. Copenny

The Impact Movement is setting the stage for its next national conference, Impact ‘12 by hosting its very first Impact pre-conference Live Broadcast this September 26, 2012 at 8pm-9pm EST. The event will be hosted by Rebecca Gilmer and promotes Impact12, which takes place December 28, 2012 through January 1, 2013 in the beautiful city of New Orleans.

Featured pre-conference Live Broadcast guests include interviews with Impact favorites President Charles Gilmer, Pastor Keith Battle and national recording artist Mali Music, and live performances from Level 3:16 and University Gospel Choirs.

The preview will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at a life-changing venue that has radically influenced Erin R. Burton’s life and the lives of more than 14,000 others over the last twenty years.

“The Lord is building something through us, through this ministry. It may not be a temple, but it is a movement,” Erin said to The Impact Movement staff members and fellows, encouraging them with a stone of remembrance for what God’s done and hope for what He is still yet to do.

“We hear story after story, year after year of the lives that have been changed. Every time something happens that threatens this ministry there’s this strong push back, this strong resistance against that threat, because God’s put into us this passion, this desire to see this movement happen and go forward. The seeds are already in our hearts. We need a plan for this conference that when we’re gone someone else can pick up the plan and say ‘This is how you do the Impact conference.’ All of us are going to be a part of the plan to continue to see this happen and a continued trust in the Lord to build the house so that our labor is not in vain.”

Erin is a 27 year-old incredibly talented and gifted young woman who is passionate about the gospel going forward and changing lives through The Impact Movement’s national conference. Erin’s passion is personal because almost a decade ago her own life was radically changed at an Impact national conference.

She experienced Biblical truth in ways she never had. She encountered God’s voice, leading her to end her relationship with her boyfriend and recommit her life to the Lord in obedience. Fast forward a few years later, as Erin followed the Lord’s call and entered into a two-year ministry fellowship program with The Impact Movement

From coaching trips across the country to visit Impact college chapters, to planning regional conferences and more, God used Erin’s experience to broaden her perspective even more for the gospel and his kingdom. Presently, she serves as the National Conference Director for The Impact Movement, giving sharp eyes and dynamic insight into crafting the atmosphere for a venue that has proven to reach youth and young adults with God’s truth since 1991.

Erin is a 2012 honoree for Rejuvenate magazine’s “40 under 40.” According to the magazine, the “40 under 40” are recognized because “they’re planners who put their organizations’ best interests before their own and ministers who travel the world to share the gospel.” Erin is changing lives through The Impact Movement because her life was changed through the national conference.

“Erin is the youngest member of the staff to be entrusted with such a huge role,” says Kimberly Moore, the former national conference director who also trained Erin for her role. “She brings her gifts and talents as an actor and writer to keep the content fresh and engaging. She is also someone people love serving.”
